Robert "Bob" Kamp

Robert J. “Bob” Kamp, 92, formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Omaha, NE.

A memorial service will be 10:00 am Monday, April 17, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, 2320 Outer Drive N., with burial to follow in Logan Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.christysmith.com .

Bob was born October 5, 1930, in Oyens, IA. He graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Henry J. Kamp and Louise M. (Heissel) Kamp, and all of his 6 siblings. His wives, Margaret "Ann" (Oakes) Kamp, and Dorothy (Malone Kollbaum) Kamp also preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Robin Cowart, Jeri (Dave) Lundblad, Mark (Renee) Kamp, and his stepsons, Richard Kollbaum, and James (Nancy) Kollbaum. He also has 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Bob lived most of his life in Sioux City, but resided the last several years in Omaha to be closer to family. He was a proud, lifelong member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed times with family and friends, playing cards, traveling, camping, fishing and hunting.

Memorials may be directed to family so we may give them to Tabitha Hospice in Omaha.
