MOVILLE, Iowa -- Hugo Fletcher, 91, of Moville died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Moville Evangelical Church of North America, with the Revs. Charles Polk and Vernon Aarnes officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Hugo Fletcher was born March 24, 1916, in Bath, Ill., the son of Paul and Fannie (Sarff) Fletcher. He attended school in Illinois.
He married Stella Harris on Aug. 10, 1938, in Palmyra, Mo. Together, they made their home in Illinois before moving to O'Neill, Neb. in 1960. They moved to Kingsley and Moville area in 1966. He worked as a farm manager for Tri-State Turkey Farms for more than 24 years. He later worked as the Moville elderly housing manger for more than 13 years.
He was an active member of the Evangelical Church of Moville. He enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Fletcher of Kingsley; two daughters, Vicki Reynoldson of Sergeant Bluff and Ann Steging of Bogart, Ga.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Hugo Fletcher; a son-in-law, Ken Reynoldson; a brother, Adrian; and two sisters, Bernice and Pauline in infancy.
