Albert L Baker

Albert LeRoy Baker, 72, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away peacefully on June 19, 2020. Al was born in Sioux City, Iowa on September 5, 1947 to Albert and Nettie Baker. In 1965, Al enlisted in the United States Army, where he served for 3 years. Al changed courses and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1968. He served as an Otolaryngology Surgical Technician for 18 and ½ years. He was awarded many medals and letters of commendation during his years of service.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie and Albert, sisters, Nancy and Marion, and niece, Cindy. Al is survived by his daughters, Shelly Thompson (Dave Thompson) of Murphy, NC and Barbara Baker (Laurie O’Hern) of Warrensburg, NY, his granddaughters, Danna Thompson (Nick Lowe) and Brice Thompson (Ross Alexander), and his niece, Kathy Deboer (Jeff & Channah Deboer). He is also survived by lifelong friend, Bob Lafleur (Linda Lafleur & family).

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa at 10am.
