Alexander Prouty Kane

Alexander P. Kane, at the age of 78, passed away October 20, 2021 at Pioneer Valley in Sergeant Bluff, IA with family by his side. He was born August 17, 1943, in Sioux City, IA to Warren and Eulalie Kane. He was united in marriage to Regina R. Kane, now deceased, for 26 years. Alex was a retired professor from Western Iowa Tech Community College and was a Grand Master at the Masonic Lodge in Sioux City, IA. He and Regina enjoyed many years of traveling following retirement before relocating to Weslaco, TX.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Douglas Kane; stepdaughters and spouses, Cindy and Larry Wilde, Kimberly and Shane Strom, and Bobbi Parker; grandchildren, Jacob, Jesse, Aleasha Wilde, Austin Strom, Mia Parker, Amber, Keith Carranza, Samantha Kane, Anthony Lemek; great grandchildren, Naomi and Natalie Burgess.

He is preceded in death by his wife Regina (Tena) Kane; son, Anthony Kane; granddaughter, Jordan Legg.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 26th at Memorial Park Cemetery. Those wishing to join the family are welcome.
