Alyce L. Leopold, 84, of Sioux City passed away on Jan. 23, 2016, at Countryside Nursing Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. David Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Alyce was born on April 21, 1931, in Moville, Iowa, to Jack and Ila Davis. Alyce married Harold Leopold on April 23, 1954, at Morningside Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2014.
She was a life member of the PTA, a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church, Rebecca Circle, and the Shrine Women's Auxiliary. Alyce was a dedicated wife, mother and grandma with a wonderful sense of humor. She was extremely talented and creative, using those skills to help nonprofit organizations and was especially helpful to the homeless and needy.
Survivors include her sons, David Leopold of Marshall, Texas, Roger (Linda) Leopold of Toney, Ala., and John (Keri) Leopold of Sioux City; grandchildren, Keith and Kaci Leopold of Toney, and Mary and Sarah Leopold of Sioux City; brothers, Darrel (Barb) Greenough of Sioux City, and Chuck Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Allen Greenough and Gerald Davis.
The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Countryside for their loving care and kindness.
