Angela Elizabeth Sunclades

Angela E. Sunclades, age 71, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Sioux City.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 23, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mater Dei Parish. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside Chapel, with the rosary at 6:30 p.m. and vigil service at 7:00 p.m.

Angela Elizabeth Donnelly was born April 21, 1951, in Fort Dodge, IA. She moved to Sioux City when she was 11 years old. She graduated from Heelan in 1969.

On November 29, 1969, she married Anthony V. Sunclades at St. Casimir in Sioux City. She worked for 35 years as an assistant to Keith Shellhammer at Wooldridge Insurance then later at Mills Shellhammer Puetz.

She was a member at St. Casimir’s in Sioux City, then at Immaculate Conception. She also was an active member of the Sioux City Police Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and watching her favorite shows with her husband.

Angela is survived by her husband, Anthony Sunclades I; daughter, Amy Sunclades Nunley; son, Anthony (Amy) Sunclades II; grandchildren, Reece (Maria Pena) Sunclades and their son Alexander, Aubrey Nunley and her daughter Amoralee, Anthony Sunclades III, and Adriana Sunclades; step grandchildren, Austin Noll, Whitney Noll and her children Jayce and Khy’ren, Chase LaFleur (fiancé Alyssa Loft) and his children Alexander and Haizlee, Ally LaFleur and her son Greyson; siblings, Marianne Donnelly of Corinth, TX, Kate Hansen of Danbury, IA, Joseph Donnelly Jr. of Sioux City, IA, Nadine Donnelly, and Randy Donnelly; along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Andrew Sunclades, brother-in-law, Michael B. Sunclades; and sister-in-law, Cathy Donnelly.
