Ann Marie (Manning) Boever Hansen, 73, of Sioux City, passed away Dec. 28, 2013, at Touchstone Living Center.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 1801 Morningside Ave. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to

Ann was born on Sept. 30, 1940, in Vermillion, S.D., to Michael and Gladys (O’Connor) Manning. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Heelan High School. She attended Briar Cliff College.
In 1964, she married Norbert "Nubs" Boever in Sioux City. She was a devoted mother. Nubs passed away in 1970. She married Jerry Hansen in Sioux City in 1981. Jerry was a loving and devoted caregiver throughout her illness with Alzheimer’s. Ann worked for a number of years as an administrative assistant for the Sioux City Catholic Archdiocese as well as Siouxland Mental Health.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Hansen; daughters, Laurie (Matt) Boever-Cook and Amy (Jeff) Persinger; grandchildren, Erin and Braden Cook, and Nicholas and Emily Persinger; her sister, Dolores (Ron) Habeck; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Nubs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
