Anna Mae Burns, 77, of Sioux City, Iowa died on February 19, 2022, in Sioux City, Iowa surrounded by her family.
A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106, with the Rev. David Halaas officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Sioux City, IA.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa.

Anna was born October 23, 1944, in Wayne, Nebraska to Herman and Gertrude (Koeppen) Obermeyer. She graduated from Laurel High School in Laurel, NE in 1962. She married Keith L. Burns on June 20th, 1964. The couple was blessed with two children: Tammy and Timothy. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she attended regularly and always sat in her same spot.
Anna enjoyed being with friends and family. Her daughter, Tammy, was the light to her world. She looked up to her son-in-law, Dennis and enjoyed spending time with her son, Timothy. She also enjoyed making her great-grandchildren laugh and feel loved. Anna was one who touched a lot of hearts and will be forever missed.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Burns; parents; and all eight of her brothers.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Dennis) Barnes; son, Timothy Burns; grandchild, Sabrina Barnes (Scott Tietgen); two great-grandchildren, Adalynn Tietgen and Brooklyn Tietgen; and a host of other relatives and friends.
