Sioux City - Anna “Louise” Mosier, 99, of Sioux City, entered the gates of heaven and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Feb. 5, 2013, after an amazingly long and healthy life.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. for anyone wishing to share special memories.
Louise was born in Gregory, S.D., on May 31, 1913, where she lived until she was a sophomore in high school. She then moved with her family to Correctionville, Iowa.
She married Murlin L. Mosier on Oct. 5, 1930, in Correctionville, and they moved to Sioux City in 1933. They joined Billy Sunday Memorial Tabernacle, where she taught Sunday school for almost 50 years. Her home was always open to family, friends, church members and missionaries. Her main passions in life were church, family and raising her five children and many of her grandchildren.
Her personal relationship with Jesus Christ was reflected in everything she did. She lived for others and poured her love and her life into her children and grandchildren. She was always ready to share her love of the Lord with those who were seeking Christ. She definitely had a servant’s heart.
She was an inspiration in life and is now a citizen of heaven. Her love, joy and laughter live in the hearts of those who loved her.
Survivors include her children, Martin Mosier of Tustin, Calif., Bruce Mosier of Sioux City, and Mary (Mark) Wilkens of Sioux City; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murlin; her son, Monte Mosier; and her daughter, Delores Andersen.
