Anna M. Riker, 93, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Retirement Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Anna was born on April 14, 1920, in Sioux City, to William and Marie (Olden) Gallagher.
She married John Riker on Aug. 14, 1949, in Pennsylvania. She worked at Zenith, Walgreens, Morningside College, and the Department of Human Services.
Anna worked hard to support her family. She was fond of animals including the neighborhood cats and squirrels.
Survivors include her sons, John and LouAnn Riker, Tom Riker, and Bob and Cheryl Riker; her daughters, Rose Marie Riker, and Marianne Riker; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Gallagher Tope.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, William Riker; two brothers; and three sisters.
