Anne Elizabeth Camerer

On April 12, 2023, Anne Elizabeth Camerer, age 72 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away in her home from a courageous battle with a brief illness. She was cared for by family with love every step of the way.

Celebration of life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Anne was a guiding light to anyone who knew her. She had a uniqueness to her personality that was direct and to the point. Throughout her life she cared for and loved her family and friends with always being there when needed most. Her steadfast strength and guidance will be truly missed by all. Anne enjoyed traveling with her family on vacations and was an avid hockey and soccer fan.

Anne was born in Rotterdam, Netherlands on December 16, 1950, she graduated from the Westwood Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on June 10, 1969. She married John H. Camerer on May 19, 1973. She was a homemaker, along with working as a food aid and teacher assistant for the Sioux City Community Action Agency for 23 years.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Camerer; daughter, Jill Camerer; granddaughter, Kristie Camerer; siblings, Diane and Bill Tuchscherer and family of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mike and Angie Tuchscherer and family of Humbolt, Sak, and John Tuchscherer of Saskatoon, Sak.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Johan Baptist Hubert Tuchscherer and Elizabeth Catharina Walda.
