SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Annette L. Bahney, 46, South Sioux City died Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital after a eight month battle with cancer.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City. The Rev. Daniel Wittrock will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Annette was born in Sioux City on Dec. 29, 1964, the daughter of Ronald and Myrtle (Crow) Marsh. She was raised in South Sioux City. She attended St. Michael Catholic School and graduated from South Sioux High School in 1983. She received her associates of arts degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College in 1985.
On Aug. 2, 1986, she married Kyle R. Bahney at St. Michael Church in South Sioux City. Annette worked at KTIV Television for 20 years. She started as a receptionist and was now one of their top account executives.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and taught C.C.D. at the church. She was a South Sioux City Ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce. She was very active in the South Sioux City community and enjoyed spending time with her friends. The most important part of her life was her family. She loved spending time with her husband and attending her children's activities including sports and theater.
She is survived by her husband, Kyle of South Sioux City; her daughter, Courtney of Okoboji, Iowa; her son, Alex of South Sioux City; her parents; a sister, Valarie Marsh; a brother, Dan and his wife, Patti, all of South Sioux City; two nephews, Nolan and Connor Marsh; her mother-in-law, Carol Bahney of Sioux City.
