Antoinette C. Naber of Sioux City died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Bruch officiating and the Rev. Mr. James Sands serving as Deacon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Larkin Chapel.
The former Antoinette Pope was born in Sioux City and was raised here. She married Julien A. Naber on June 10, 1950, in Denver, Colo. She lived in Rapid City, S.D., for over 50 years. Julien died on April 20, 2007. Antoinette returned to Sioux City two months ago.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Caroline and James Sands of Sioux City, Rosemary O'Kane of Sioux City, Dr. Stephen Naber of Boston, Mass. and Russell Pope of Merrill, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her three sisters, Rose O'Kane, Katherine Naber and Mary Saxer; and her brother, Nick Pope.
A memorial has been established in her name for Holy Spirit Nursing Home or the charity of your choice.
