SIOUX CITY -- Ardelle Caroline (Jacobson) Clark, 89, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011.
Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Ardelle Caroline Jacobson was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minn., the second-born of identical twin girls.
She married LuVerne K. Clark on Oct. 4, 1941. They had three children, Jane Wright, Greg Clark and Richard Clark.
Ardelle graduated from Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis. She supported her husband in his ministry that began in Minnesota, included 16 years at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City and concluded in Pipestone, Minn. When he retired in 1983, they moved to California.
In 2003, Ardelle and LuVerne returned to Sioux City and lived at Four Seasons Senior Living Center in Morningside. When LuVerne died at their residence on Jan. 26, 2006, Ardelle moved into Countryside Senior Living, where she resided until the time of her death.
Survivors include her son, Greg (Joan) Clark of Allen, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Clark of Sioux City; a son-in-law, Roger Wright of New Castle, Ind.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; her daughter, Jane, in 1999; her son Richard in 2004; her husband; and a great-granddaughter.
