NORTH SIOUX CITY -- Arthur L. "Bud" Wynn Sr. of Elk Point, S.D., formerly of North Sioux City, died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at a Elk Point nursing home.
Abiding by his wishes, the body was cremated. Services and burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to christysmith.com.
Mr. Wynn was born Jan. 7, 1924, in North Sioux City, the son of Cleve and Louise Wynn. He was a lifelong resident of the Siouxland area. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Amy E. Frazee on Oct. 10, 1942, in Rapid City, S.D. She died Jan. 21, 2008, in Sioux City. He was a self-employed mechanic.
He enjoyed cards, going to the casino and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Allan Gordon of Sumterville, Fla., Peg and Tubby Mitchell of Sioux City and Mary and Bob Sowerby of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons and their wives, Arthur L. Wynn Jr. of North Sioux City, Eugene and Linda Wynn of Luck, Wis., and Jim and Joan Wynn of Rosharon, Texas; a brother and his wife, Richard and Jean Wynn of Kingsley, Iowa; a sister, Inez Morrison of Sioux City; a special sister-in-law, Mary Reed of North Sioux City; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a daughter, Kathy Hayes.
