Ashley W. Moreland

Ashley W. Moreland, 24, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tim Bonney officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Ashley was born on Aug. 28, 1989, in Sioux City, the daughter of Karen Kahl and Marvin Moreland Jr. She was raised in Sioux City and attended Lowell Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Middle School and graduated from North High School. She had worked at Century Link and Premier Bankcard. Ashley was continuing her education at Western Iowa Tech Community College in the nursing program.
She spent the last seven years being a loving mother and taking care of her children, Leyliana and Chase. Ashley was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of everyone. She also liked gardening.
Ashley is survived by her children, Leyliana and Chase Moreland; a brother, Alex Moreland of Sioux City; her mother, Karen Kahl of Sioux City; her father, Marvin Moreland Jr. of Sioux City; paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary Moreland Sr. of Sioux City; and aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
