Ashton J. VanSickler, 18, died Thursday, August 5, 2021, at MercyOne Medical Center in Sioux City, IA.

Ashton Jacob VanSickler, the son of Brett and Larisa (Crouch) VanSickler was born January 29, 2003, in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from East High School in 2021.
Ashton is survived by his father, Brett (Cassie Norris and her children, Merranda, Veta, Chad, Kenzi) VanSickler of Sioux City; his mother, Larisa (Mark Murdock) VanSickler of Sioux City; maternal grandparents, Randall and Janet Crouch of Sioux City; paternal grandmother, Shirley VanSickler of Ida Grove, IA; siblings, Rebecca (Phil) McKee, Hunter (Jacob Barnes) Horsley, Tayton VanSickler, all of Sioux City; uncles, Bryan VanSickler, Brandon VanSickler; aunts, Sally (Dr. Patrick) Tracy, Bobbie (Chris) Weber, Brandi (Jeff) Sharkey; many nieces; as well as several family friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dennis VanSickler.
