Austin Marcel Sabourin, 42, of North Sioux City, formerly of Grafton, N.D., passed away Friday, Dec 9, 2016.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Austin was born on Aug. 7, 1974, in Grafton, the son of Marcel and Trudy (Twedten) Sabourin. Austin grew up and attended school in Grafton. He attended Northland Community Technical College for two years and also attended and graduated from Western Iowa Tech Community College with a degree in carpentry.
He worked several years for Vector Construction and through that employment he decided to make his home in North Sioux City. He also worked for Dean's Foods as a warehouse and inventory lead, BNSF Railroad as a conductor until he was furloughed and recently at RJ Tide Construction as a carpenter.
Austin is survived by his parents, Marcel and Trudy Sabourin of Grafton; sister, Darcy Sabourin of Grafton; sister, Tricia Campbell (Ryan) and nieces, Temre and Mia, of Bluffton, S.C.; brother, Joe (Jennifer) and nieces, Emery and Ava, of Fargo, N.D.; significant other, Heather Row, and their children, Tiffany, Matthew and Melanie, of North Sioux City; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
