Barbara ‘Babs’ Wiscott
SIOUX CITY -- Barbara K. "Babs" Wiscott, 57, of Sioux City died of natural causes Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at her home.
As per family wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Babs was born Nov. 16, 1952, in Sioux City, the daughter of Warren and Charlotte (Van Cleave) Garner. She considered South Sioux City and Sioux City her home, except for living in California for a few years. She graduated from South Sioux City High School and attended nursing school.
She was a nurse at nursing homes in the area and spent many years as a clerk for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed all her friends in the Pace Program.
She is survived by her stepfather, Richard Krumwiede of South Sioux City; her stepmother, Elfriede Garner of Cottonwood, Calif.; aunt, Margie Hedrick of South Sioux City; brother, Thomas Garner of Redding, Calif.; friend, Rick Serviss of South Sioux City; and friend, Stella Serviss of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her grandparents, Ruth and Tom Van Cleave.
