SIOUX CITY | Barbara F. Jensen, 76, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at a local hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Barbara was born May 8, 1936 in Sioux City, the daughter of Tracy and Mary (Copple) Myers. She attended school at Sioux City public schools, graduating from Central High School.
Barbara married Bob Jensen on Oct. 11, 1958. Together they made their home near Minneapolis, Minn. until 1967, when they moved to Sioux City.
Barbara loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a pen pal for people all over the world, including Russia and East Germany among others. Barbara also enjoyed dancing, especially the jitterbug.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of Sioux City; son, Rodney Jensen of South Sioux City; daughter, Patty Jensen and special friend Ray of Sioux City; two grandchildren, Rhianna Fuller and Andrew Fuller; and a brother, Tracy and Connie Myers of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Donna and Violet.
