Bernadine Crilly, age 95, of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Larkin Chapel, located at 2320 Outer Drive N. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
Bernadine Marie Hanten, the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Leibrich) Hanten, was born on January 8, 1925 in White Lake, SD. She grew up in the area and graduated from high school in Platte, SD. She then began working for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company.
On February 16, 1954 Bernadine was united in marriage with Eugene R. Crilly. The couple made their home in Sioux City and had seven children.
Bernadine was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Pat Crilly of Sioux City, Kathy (Keith) McGuire of Sioux City, Mike Crilly of Sioux City, Jean (Joel) Fossum of Princeton, IL, Tim Crilly of Sioux City, Joe (Lisa) Crilly of Bronson, IA; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Leon) Kleinschmitt of Omaha, NE; brother, Arnold Hanten of Platte, SD; and sister-in-law, Flora Hanten of Miramar, FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; daughter, Nancy; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.
