South Sioux City, NE – Betty C. Bowers, 90, of Sioux City, IA, died Monday, November 28, 2022, at a local nursing home.

Betty C. Moore, the daughter of James and Marie (Moltz) Moore was born November 8, 1932, in Sioux City. She received her education in Sioux City and was very proud of earning her G.E.D. later in life.
On June 2, 1951, Betty was united in marriage with Robert Bowers. She was a homemaker. Betty enjoyed babysitting the grandchildren later in life and they enjoyed her homemade fudge. Robert died April 24, 2017, after 65 years of marriage to Betty.
Betty was a member of Grace United Methodist Church for 60 years and was also a member of United Methodist Women. She bowled in a league at both Park Bowl and Plaza Bowl. Betty was also in a Golf league at Sun Valley. Betty loved watching sports on television with her husband, including the Chicago Bears, Hawkeyes, and Golf.
Betty is survived by her children, Kathi (John) Sparks of Sioux City, Ken “Dusty” (Yvonne) Bowers of Dallas, TX, Kris (Brian) Dam of Sioux City; several grand and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son; five brothers; and four sisters.
The family has requested no floral donations. They would prefer memorials be sent to Hospice of Siouxland.
