SIOUX CITY -- Betty Jean Fulton, 78, Sioux City died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at a Sioux City nursing home.
Services will be 9 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Barnes of the RiverzEdge Church will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Betty was born Nov. 27,1931, in Grant, Neb. She was raised in Nebraska.
On July 1, 1950, Betty married Oliver See in Gering, Neb. The couple moved to Moville in the early 1950s. Oliver died in 1965. Betty then moved to Sioux City in 1968. She worked for Isman Mobile Homes, Sioux Harbor Truck Stop, and the Silver Steer Restaurant in the Stock Yards, Coyote Canyon and at the Economy Market.
On April 1, 1977, she married Eugene Fulton in Elk Point, S.D. He died on May 13, 2009, in Sioux City.
Betty was a people person, she loved being with family and friends.
She is survived by her six children, Bessie and Les Stokach of Rogue River, Ore., Cheryl Cummings of Sioux City, Mike See of Sioux City, Gail Helms of Mesa, Ariz., George See and his fiancee, Sue Davis of Sioux City, and Joyce Parent of Sioux City; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, June Leffel and Shirley Christensen both of Salina, Kan., and Charlotte Snover of Ottawa, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Geraldine (Nichols) Christensen; her husbands; a son, Harley See; a grandson, Nathan Benson; four brothers; and three sisters.
