Betty A. Garner “Betty Boop”, 76, of Sioux City, died Monday, November 30, 2020 at a Waterloo hospital due to Covid-19.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City. Please visit www.christysmith.com to leave online condolences for the family.

Betty was born March 17, 1944 in Walthill, Neb., to Doris (Sailors) and H.P. Garner. She moved to Sioux City’s Riverside area at a very early age.

She attended Hopkins and Woodrow Wilson Schools. She had various jobs, including Bishops and Goodwill Industries.

Her hobbies included bowling and thrifting. She loved sparkly blouses and hats.

She is survived by her brothers, Don (Karlene) Garner, Steven Garner, and Bernard (Beautiful Mary) Garner; sister, Cheryl (Patrick) Boyle; numerous nephews and nieces; special friend, Angie Trembly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Vic Babcock; brothers, Gary and Doug Garner; sisters, Connie Hamilton and Kristie K. Garner; and several nephews.
