Beverly was born on March 30, 1933, in Sioux City. She was the daughter of Eddie and Emma (Dahlman) Emmick. She was a lifelong resident of Sioux City, and graduated from East High School in 1953. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and was baptized on May 15, 1934, and confirmed on April 11, 1954.
After graduation she worked at Lutheran Hospital, where she helped care for the many people and also helped the nurses at the desk. After she left the hospital she babysat for many families who still love her dearly. She was a compassionate caregiver who took loving care of her parents and her grandma, Emma.
Beverly was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and was very active in the church, having served on the church council. She was a very determined woman who earned her driver's license at the age of 43, after many told her that she would not be able to do it due to her disability. She was very grateful to Gerald Barth, her teacher, for all his encouragement.
She is survived by many good friends, especially Myrna DeWitt, Julie and Pat Schiltz and their children, Grace, Will and Tommy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother.
