Sioux City - Bill Jerome Trudeau, 77, of Sioux City passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at a local hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Bill was born on July 14, 1934, in Yankton, S.D., to Phillip and Mabel (Brubaker) Trudeau. He served overseas with the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was employed as a machinist at Sioux Tools and later retired from Sioux Tractor.
He enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, and stock car races, especially sprint cars. He also was an avid mushroom hunter. He enjoyed spending time with his children.
Survivors include his daughters, Valerie Lockwood and Susan and Guy Richardson, both of Sioux City, and Wendy and Allen Eskelin of Seattle, Wash.; a son, Larry and Chris Trudeau of Sioux City; grandchildren, Tiffiny, Shauna and Crystal; three great-grandchildren; sisters, LaVonne and Milo Abelson and Shirley and Carl Sandusky; and a brother, Frank Trudeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Phillip Trudeau, Lily Crawford, Leone Beaulieu, Ethel Beaulieu, Gertrude Crawford, Walt Trudeau, Rosala Trudeau, and Charles Trudeau.
