SIOUX CITY -- Bonner "Bonnie" Draper, 86, of Sioux City died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at her home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Sylvia Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Bonner "Bonnie" Dicus was born on Sept. 21, 1925, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of James and Julia (Clausen) Dicus. She grew up and attended school at Anthon.
Bonnie married Oscar "Tex" Draper on July 3, 1945, in South Sioux City. Bonnie worked at the Benson Building, Orpheum Electric Building and Younker's. Tex died in 2005.
Bonner was a longtime member of Whitfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra and Lewis Bergenske of Sioux City; four grandsons, James and Kendra Bergenske, Jeffrey and Brandy Bergenske, Jason and Becky Bergenske, and Joseph and Missy Bergenske, all of Sioux City; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette and Richard Martin of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Charlene Rush of Sioux City; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oscar "Tex"; and eight brothers, Ben, James, Ardell, Charles, Dean, Dale, Jerry Lee and George.
