Bonnie L. Pyzel, 85, of Sioux City, passed away on Nov. 26, 2016, at a local hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Tim Bonney officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Bonnie was born on Nov. 3, 1931, in Coleridge, Neb., to Blaine J. and Iva Bell (Walton) Hummel. Bonnie attended school in Coleridge, Belden, and graduated from East High School in 1949.
She married Everett H. Pyzel on Dec. 18, 1954, at Grace United Methodist Church. Bonnie worked at Johnson Hardware and Johnson Biscuit.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis (Denise) Pyzel of Hawarden, Iowa, and Douglas (Shelly) Pyzel of Omaha; grandchildren, Travis (Tristan) Pyzel, Tiffany (Trent) Heuertz, Allison (Jeremy) Ferguson, Sarah (Anthony) Ciaffa, and Kashmir Pyzel; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Crawford; a brother, Gordon Hummel; many nieces and nephews; and a special niece and nephew, Carmen and Phil McMahon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Pamela Sue Pyzel; brothers, Dwaine, Keith and Larry Hummel; brother-in-law, Don Crawford; and nephew, Keith Hummel Jr.
