Moville, Iowa - Carol J. Corbin, 86, of Moville passed away Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Moville. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Carol was born May 21, 1927, in rural Moville, to Ernest and Orfa (Riotdan) Bleasdell. She attended Moville High School.
She was united in marriage to Charles Dudley Corbin on Dec. 22, 1946, in Moville. She taught school at Country School in Moville and Headstart. Carol also worked at a gas station for 10 years and as a cook at Judy’s Cafe for five years.
She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church. Carol enjoyed playing cards, visiting friends, walking, reading and traveling to Arizona for winter.
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Linda (Jeff) Malberg of Moville, and Mary (Lowell) Pratt of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Jodi Corbin of Moville; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Roland Bleasdell of Sioux City.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Roger; and sisters, Frances, Mary Jane Steiner and Joann Kauffman.
Memorials may be made to the family.
