Carol Stone

Carol Ann Stone, 65, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at home.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Carol was born June 2, 1951 in Orange City, Iowa. She was raised by her foster parents, Carel and Donna Connor. She attended Remsen (Iowa) St. Mary's School, graduating in 1969. She moved to Sioux City to attend Western Iowa Tech Community College. She had made Sioux City her home since then.
Carol married Orval K. Stone June 6, 1986 at Riverside United Methodist Church in Sioux City.
Carol formerly worked at Matney's Nursing Home, Sunrise Manor and Embassy Care Center until retirement 16 years ago.
She loved playing computer games, was an avid reader when she could do so, and loved Mickey Mouse.
Survivors include her husband, Orval; her daughter, Tammy Graff of Sioux City; her two sons, Tim Graff of Sioux City and Ryan Summers of Lorimor, Iowa; nine grandchildren; five brothers; and three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her foster mother; a sister; and a granddaughter, Hailey Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to them for future designation.
