Carroll C. Cooper
MOVILLE, Iowa -- Carroll C. Cooper, 86, of Indian Hills Care Center, formerly of Moville, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at the care center.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rock Branch United Methodist Church in Rock Branch, Iowa, with the Rev. Vickie Steffes officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Carroll was born on Sept. 15, 1920, in Moville, the son of Daniel and Mary (Sadler) Cooper. He was raised in the Moville area. He married Mona Adams on Feb. 11, 1943, in Omaha. Mona passed away on Dec. 30, 1993, in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Anthon area until moving to a farm near Moville in 1972. Carroll farmed most of his life and later became a machinist at Concrete Pipe Machinery in Sioux City, retiring from there in 1982. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jaacks of Moville and Jan (Bill) Snyder of Fairfield, Ohio; a granddaughter, Jaci (Rick) Dominowski; three grandsons, Jeff (Kelli) Jaacks, Billy Jr. (Amy) Snyder and Sean (Kelly) Snyder; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ryan Jaacks and Emma and Logan Snyder; two great-stepgrandchildren, Jacob and Abby; a sister, Alice (Ray) Winneke of Sioux City; and a brother, Marvin (Helen) Cooper of Sun City, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Vernon Cooper.
