Cecelia Marie Knapp (Potras)

SIOUX CITY -- Cecelia Marie Knapp, 93, of Sioux City died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Episcopal Church, with Deacon Patricia Roberts and Deacon Leon Pfotenhauer officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Cecelia Potras Knapp was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Norfolk, Neb., the daughter of Fannie Brewer and Francis Potras. She moved to Sioux City after the death of her father. She graduated from Central High School in June 1934.
Cecelia married Kenneth Bradley in 1934, who was the father of her four children. He passed away in 1953. Also preceding her in death was her second husband, Harold Boe, passing in 1968, and Cyrus Knapp, passing in 1994.
She was active in professional sewing most of her life, having a custom sewing shop, specializing in bridal design in Alhambra, Calif., for a number of years. After returning to Sioux City, she was supervisor of alterations at JC Penney's store until her retirement.
She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and active in their Altar guild, where she served as directress for some time. She made many of the altar hangings, clerical garments and altar linens for both St. Thomas Episcopal and Calvary Episcopal Churches. She also was an active member of the Ministry Development Team.
Survivors include her four children and their spouses, Perriann and Bob Boyce of Sioux City, Bob and Judy Bradley of Georgetown, Texas, Douglas Bradley of Pamona, Calif., and Janice and Ken Noble of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren, Ken and Troy Boyce, Dawn and her husband, Mike Carper of Fort Wayne, Ind., Kim and Michael Bradley of Texas, and Chad Noble and his wife, Jennifer of Sioux Falls; five great-grandchildren, Stacia Buckholtz, Shane Carper, Olana, Sierra and Andrew Noble; two stepgrandsons, Cole and Matthew Knapp; three great-great-grandsons; a sister, Juanita Hart of California; and a stepsister and two nieces of California. Our family has two girls who are special to us all, Brianna White and Taylor Marlow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and a brother, Jerry Potras.
