Charles Edwin "Chuck" Levine, 43, of Sioux City died Monday, March 11, 2008.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Del L. Olivier officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Chuck was born June 2, 1964, in Hastings, Neb. The family moved to Sioux City in 1967 and has resided here ever since. He attended Sioux City schools and later attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb.
He was employed as a bartender for about 10 years and later at Gateway for eight years. He was currently employed at Winn-A-Vegas Casino as a bartender.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He enjoyed comic books, coin collecting, reading Stephen King books, tinkering and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was the favorite fun uncle.
Survivors include his father, Richard "Dick" Levine of Omaha; his mother, Lois (Goertz) Daniels of South Sioux City; three brothers, Douglas and Christine Levine of Omaha, Jeffrey and Marlene Levine of South Sioux City and Craig and Debbie Levine of Sioux City; a sister, Brandi Amick and James Hall of Sioux City; 13 nieces and nephews; and his grandmother, Catherine Goertz of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin and Ada Levine and Jeff Goertz; his stepmother, Edna Levine; and his stepfather, Ron Daniels.
