Charles Henry Oehlerking

Charles H. Oehlerking, 75, of Sioux City died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. James Travis officiating.
Charles was born on June 27, 1937, in Sioux City, the son of Charles and Elsie (Kroll) Oehlerking. He attended country school and graduated from Leeds High School.
Charles married Roberta Edgington on March 19, 1955. They made their home in Sioux City. Charles farmed all his life.
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Charles loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta; two daughters, Debbie and Robert Anderson, and Diane Feste, all of Lawton, Iowa; three sons, Darlowe and Paula Oehlerking, Dale and Michelle Oehlerking, and Dean and Jill Oehlerking, all of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren, Matt and Amy Anderson of Sioux City, Skye and Mark Nicolls of Lawton, Lindy and Phil Reinking of Sioux City, David Feste of Lawton, Josh Feste and Ashley Miller of Sioux City, Sonya Oehlerking and Matt Howard of Blair, Neb., Daniel Oehlerking of Sioux City, Nathan Oehlerking of Sioux City, Maggie Oehlerking of Sioux City, McKenna Oehlerking of Sioux City, Kaylee Oehlerking of Sioux City and Jesse Oehlerking of Sioux City; eight great-grandchildren, Wyatt Anderson, Morgan Nicolls, Mason Nicolls, Trenton Nicolls, Zoe Anderson, Miles Anderson, Hayden Feste and Cohen Howard; a brother, Bill and Linnea Hopp of Hackensack, Minn.; and a sister, Shirley and Glenn Meyer of Bancroft, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Oehlerking; mother and stepfather, Elsie and Albert Hopp; a son-in-law, Douglas Feste; and grandparents, Henry and Bertha Kroll.
Memorials may be directed to Calvary Lutheran Church.
