SIOUX CITY -- Christine Kay (Freeman) Daisy, 61, of Cherokee, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, after suffering from a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City, with the Rev. Larry Ostercamp officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

Christine Kay Freeman was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Sioux City, to Mark and Julia (Gunderson) Freeman. She attended East High School in Sioux City and received her general education diploma from Western Iowa Tech Community College. She lived in Sioux City and moved to Cherokee in the early 1980s. She had been a resident of the Careage Hills Nursing Home since 2004.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cherokee.
She is survived by her mother, Julia Freeman of Sioux City; a son and his wife, Jim and Patty Loucks of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Dan Rollison of Cherokee; a son and his wife, Mark and Lynette Loucks of Sioux City; a son, Larry Gorden of Cherokee; a son, Ryan Gorden of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Alan Freeman of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Kathy and Dave VanGundy of Des Moines; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Freeman.
