Clarence Thomas McKnight, 73, of Sioux City died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.
At his request, there will be no services and he will be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Larkin Chapel.
Clarence was born on April 19, 1934, in Sioux City. He grew up and attended school in the Sergeant Bluff and Sioux City area. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 until 1962.
On Oct. 1, 1956, he married Lois Viola Jones in South Sioux City. The couple lived in South Sioux City until 2000, when they moved to Sioux City. She died on Dec. 26, 2004, in Sioux City. Clarence was employed at various companies throughout his life in the South Sioux City area.
Survivors include his son, Tracy McKnight and his special friend, Sherry Rugland of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Joshua and Amy, all of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Diane Criteser of Burwell, Neb.; a nephew, Jack and Joan Criteser of Sergeant Bluff; three nieces, Tammy and Patrick Henson of Traer, Iowa, Bobbi Loffredo of Gray, La., and Sunny Antonio of South Sioux City; grandnieces and grandnephews, Devon Humphrey, Norberto, Jesus and Sonja Antonio, Tabitha and Faith Loffredo; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Lois, he was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; and two grandnephews, Justin Criteser and Reuben Antonio.
