Collette C. "Cookie" Funck, 78, of North Sioux City, passed away Jan. 6, 2017, at her home.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Michael Kumm officiating. Inurnment will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Merrill, Iowa, to George and Elana (Crawford) Lehmann. Cookie attended Liberty Consolidated in Merrill. After high school, she lived in Denver, and worked for the telephone company.
She returned to Sioux City, and married Robert Funck of Bronson, Iowa, on Aug. 31, 1957. Cookie was a stay-at-home mom and raised three boys. She later worked for Zenith, Donnelley Marketing, Aalfs Manufacturing and Countryside Nursing Home until retiring in 2003.
Survivors include sons, Joe (Shari) Funck and Mike Funck; daughter-in-law, Susan Funck; grandchildren, Justin Funck, Moria Funck, Nicole O’Bryan, Jacob Funck, Austin Funck and Shyler Funck; great-grandchildren, Kai and Collin Robertson; and brother, Larry ‘Pud’ Lehmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Robert; sister, Pat "Patsy" Theisen; and brother, Clifford "Jake" Lehmann.
