Connie Mae Streeter, 70 of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota died on Monday, November 9, 2020, at Prairie Estates Rehab & Care Center in Elk Point, South Dakota.
A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106 with Brenda Zahnley officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
Visitation will be on Sunday November 15 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes Morningside Chapel located at 1801 Morningside Ave. Sioux City, Iowa 51106.

Connie was born May 13, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa to Ward W. and Minnie Mae (Bettsworth) Orr. She grew up in Sioux City and attended Central High School. Connie married Theodore "Ted" Streeter on July 24, 1966 in Elk Point, SD. The couple made their home in rural Jefferson, SD now Dakota Dunes, SD. The couple had 4 daughters: Kimberly, Melissa, Stacey, and Michelle. She worked at John Morell, later at St. Ann's Nursing Home and as a cook at Dakota Valley School before retiring due to health limitations. Connie loved to go fishing and dancing with her husband of 56 years Ted. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Connie especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Theodore “Ted” Streeter; three daughters, Kimberly & Donald Doran of Sioux City, IA, Melissa Streeter & Timothy Martinez of Sioux City, IA, and Stacey Streeter & James Ringler of Sioux City, IA; nine grandchildren, Jacob Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Jaryn Ringler, Amber Doran, Breanna Streeter, Kayla Doran, Austin Streeter, Elizabeth Ringler, and Alicia Doran; three brothers, Ward Orr, Wesley Orr, Jerry Orr, all of Sioux City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Michelle Streeter; sister, Nancy McKinney; and a special friend, Marlene Webbyi.
