Conrad Calsbeek of Le Mars, a very loving husband and father, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at his residence following a heroic nine-year battle with cancer. He was 68 years young.
A celebration of life service will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City.
Conrad was born on Feb. 5, 1947, in Orange City, Iowa, to Joe and Iva (Wiersma) Calsbeek. He was united in marriage to Karen Frazee on Sept. 9, 1967. They were blessed with four daughters and 10 grandchildren.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Karen of Le Mars; daughters, Leona (James) Martin of Le Mars, and their children, Matt Mickelson, Brittany Mickelson, Cassandra, Danielle, and Breanna Martin, Pam Davis of Sergeant Bluff, and her children, Ashley and Jared Davis, Becky (Kris) Lutt of Decatur, Ill., and their children, Katlynn and Madelynn Lutt, and Melinda (Jason) Stough of Suffolk, Va., and their child, Kelsea Stough; siblings, Jeri (Will) Waddle, Brad (Marlene) Calsbeek, and Belvia (Brian) Banks; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and many family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
