SIOUX CITY -- Constance G. "Nana" Rickwa, 75, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010.
Services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Lee of Morningside Lutheran Church officiating. The body will be cremated. Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The former Constance Gayle Moore, Mrs. Rickwa was born Feb. 23, 1935, the daughter of Charlotte and Floyd E. Moore at Marcus, Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City in 1952.
She was married on June 23, 1952. Mr. and Mrs. Rickwa resided in Tokyo, Japan, Arvada, Colo., and Sioux City. Mrs. Rickwa was employed by Purina Mills in Sioux City from 1972 until her retirement in March 2000. She was also a longtime employee of the former Biltmore Dining Room in Sioux City.
She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and fishing.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Cindie Davidson and her husband, Rick of Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. Lisa Rickwa-Miller and her husband, Jamey of Sioux City; two sons, John Jr. and his wife, Kay of Lenexa, Kan., and James (Jinxie) of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Holst and her husband, Bob of Pickering, Ohio, and Mrs. Jerry Ann Hoelker and her husband, Tony of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren, Mike Davidson, Brandon Davidson, Lindsey Rickwa, Daniel Rickwa, Jacob Rickwa, Jason Rickwa, Ellena Miller, Farah Miller, Caeden Miller and Camden Miller; and three great-grandsons, Seth, Cole and Carter Davidson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a daughter, Mrs. Pamela Mealey; a granddaughter, Amanda Suzanne Mealey; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Drusch and Mrs. Louis (Sharon) Lammers.
