Cordell Hull

Cordell C. Hull, 88, of Walnut Creek, CA, formerly of Sioux City, IA, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Graveside Services will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA. Cordell was born February 19, 1934, in Sioux City, IA to Nettie Cromwell and Edwin Hull. He graduated from East High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. He served in the US Navy. He retired after a more than 30-year career with Chevron. He was united in marriage to Arta Talsma on July 25, 1953. Those left to honor his memory include daughters, Cindy (Ron) Assour of Walnut Creek, CA and Sandy (Randy) Gooch of Westminster, CO; grandchildren, Derek (Jessie Brickley) Assour of Egham, UK, Lauren Assour of Chicago, IL, and Shawn (Jenn Lee) Assour of Austin, TX; and a sister, Shirley (Jim) Heck of Arvada, CO. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arta; parents; and two brothers, Edwin and Gordon. No words can express how grateful and blessed we feel for his long and well-lived life.
