Sioux City - Dana Martin Clemmons, 61, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at home, surrounded by his family.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside Chapel, with Pastor Johnny Helton, of Morningside Assembly of God, officiating.
Dana was born Sept. 17, 1951, in Sioux City, to Bill and Darlene (Blue) Clemmons. He attended Central High School.
Dana married Patsy Fitchner Oct. 5, 1974. They were married for more than 38 years.
Dana worked as a maintenance technician for Morningside Country Estates for 25 years.
He loved spending time with his family and making people laugh. He enjoyed hosting the Clemmons' Annual Fall Party. He also enjoyed working out, playing with his grandchildren, and watching Disney movies and cartoons. His favorite vacation spot was Disney World.
He will be remembered for his strong faith in God, and his love for his family.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Clemmons; his children, Shawn (Sharon) Clemmons, Patrick (Doksone) Clemmons and Trisha Clemmons; a brother, Bill Trotter; a sister, Patty Trudell; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sherry Hockom; and his son, Dana Clemmons Jr.
Memorials may be made to the family.
