MOVILLE, Iowa -- Danny Franklin Ferguson, 54, of Moville died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Danny was born May 16, 1956, in Long Beach, Calif., the son of Franklin and Anna Mae Ferguson. He attended high school in Golden Grove, Calif. After graduation in 1974, he entered the U.S. Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 1978. He worked as an equipment installer for more than 18 years.
He married Claudia Offt in 1985. They made their home in Corona, Calif. They moved to Moville in the mid 1990s. He worked at Sara Lee Home Bread until the time of his passing.
Danny loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, raising his chickens, spending time in his garden, eating jalapenos and watching movies.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Ferguson of Moville; his father, Franklin Ferguson of California; his mother, Anna Mae Ferguson of California; six children, Dana Ferguson and her fiance, Dan White of Moville, Damien and Renae Ferguson of Hollowman, N.M., Dwayne and Maryland Ferguson of Wichita, Kan., Daniel and Michaela Ferguson of Norfolk, Va., Darleen Ferguson of England, and Matthew Tucker of Moville; six grandchildren, Karen, Steven, Daniel, Abby, Braeden and Danika; and two brothers, Randy and Madeline Ferguson of California, and David and Pam Ferguson of Louisiana.
