SIOUX CITY -- Danny A. Graves, 38, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Saturday Feb. 18, 2012, at his residence.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Danny was born Jan. 23, 1974, in Sioux City, to Karen Craig.
He enjoyed many activities with his sons including golf, baseball, ping-pong and basketball, basically anything he and the boys could do together. He was known for his goofy sense of humor and sharp wit. He and his boys loved joking about the impending zombie apocalypse. He was extremely intelligent and loved beating his family at trivia games over the holidays.
Danny was such a hard worker. He sacrificed his time and physical body to provide for his boys. He will be missed immensely.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Graves; his sons, Shane, Jordon, Danny Jr., and Deitan Graves; his mother, Karen Craig; sisters, Lacey and Ryan Friis and Melissa Holdgrafer; grandmother, Mary Craig of Portland, Ore.; mother-in-law, Marilyn Crum of Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Alicia Counterman; a brother-in-law, Chris Counterman; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Graves; two grandfathers; and a grandmother.
