David Fredericksen, 53, of North Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly in his home with his wife by his side on Dec. 20, 2021.
Respecting David's wishes, there will be no memorial services at this time.
David was born Sept. 21, 1968 in Torrance, CA, as the only son of Gerald Fredericksen and Brenda Hampton. He graduated from Redondo Union High School in Redondo Beach, CA. In 1987 he completed a welding course at El Camino College in Torrance, CA.
In 1980, he met Tracy in California, who would become his lifelong best friend and future wife, in which he would marry on July 27, 1996.
In 1993, he moved to Sioux City with his father, where he pursued his career at Royal Canin, where he worked as a lab technician, for the remaining 25 years of his life.
David was a hardworking man and a devoted father who loved his family unconditionally. He was generous and selfless, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
David enjoyed doing many things, such as fishing, camping, and spending time with his wife and kids. Aside from spending time with his family, he had a passion for keeping busy, doing household projects, and caring for his pets.
David is survived by his wife, Tracy of North Sioux City, South Dakota; his children, Kevin of Jefferson, South Dakota, Dylan (Fiance Christal) of North Sioux City, South Dakota, and Brooklynn (Fiance Dorian) of North Sioux City, South Dakota.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Fredericksen and Brenda Hampton.
Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life that will be announced on a later day.
