Della Ann ""Del"" Grieshop

SIOUX CITY -- Del Grieshop, 57, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, at her residence.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Merrill Muller of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Della "Del" Ann Grieshop was born May 5, 1951, to Elmer and Alma (Lichty) Grieshop in St. Marys, Ohio. She graduated from Chester Area High School in Chester, S.D. She received her bachelor of science degree in drug and alcohol studies from the University of South Dakota. She lived in Seattle, Wash for 10 years prior to moving to Sioux City in 1989. She worked for Zenith for several years and was a counselor at Shesler Hall, retiring in 2002.
She enjoyed gardening, the ocean, reading, stock car racing and spending time with her grandchildren and cat.
She is survived by her daughter, Liz Grieshop and her friend, Matt Wahl of Sioux City; a brother, David Grieshop of Sioux City; grandchildren, Chris LeFebvre, Zoey Wahl, Maddie Wahl, Matthew Wahl Jr. and Mac Dean Wahl; and her beloved cat, Jasmine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an aunt, Hazel Lichty; several other aunts; and an uncle.
