Deloras M. Huff, 85, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, surrounded by her family, after a long illness.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Deloras was born on May 27, 1931, to Harold and Bessie Downhour, in Sergeant Bluff, where Deloras also attended school.
She married Frank Huff on Oct. 4, 1954 in Sergeant Bluff. Frank passed away on June 17, 1989. Deloras had worked at various job throughout her lifetime.
Deloras had many enjoyments in life including spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, bowling and watching basketball, especially Iowa Hawkeyes and the Chicago Bulls. She also liked to play video games with her grandchildren.
Deloras is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Danny) Wood and Brenda (Norman) Braden, all in Sioux City; her granddaughter, Valerie (Jessie) Ehler; great-granddaughter, Shelby; grandsons, Jeff Schincke and his significant other, Laura, and Frank Braden and his fiancee, Dang; three great-granddaughters, Thaira, Armina and Emmah; great-grandsons, AJ Braden and Matthew Braden; her sister, Dorthy Muxfeldt; a brother-in-law, Maynard Kilpatrick; and many nieces and nephews.
Deloras was preceded in death by her husband; father and mother; three sisters; and eight brothers.
