Diana Rae Franken, 64, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be 4 to 7p.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Diana was born on Feb. 20, 1952, in Sioux City, to Raymond and Mary (Bauerly) Thorp. She was united in marriage to Dennis Franken and had two children. They lived in Schaller, Iowa, for many years until they later divorced and Diana moved to Sioux City.
She was a member of Siouxland PACE and enjoyed crocheting, reading, and spending time with her grandkids.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Gina (Russell) Steffen of Sioux City; son, Greg (Corissa) Franken of Des Moines; grandkids, Garrett, Connor, Kylee Steffen, Lucas and Levi Franken, and BrieAnn and Elizabeth Nice; two sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Rasmussen of Sioux City, and Karen (Steve) Iseminger of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrell Thorp; and grandniece, Hannah Stier.
Memorials may be made to the family.
