Donald H. Kreutzian, 82, of Sioux City died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Touchstone Living Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Augustana Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Del Olivier officiating. Burial will be in Augustana Memorial Gardens, Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.
Donald was born on March 12, 1931, in Minneapolis, the son of John and Alice (Ketcher) Kreutzian. He attended school in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School.
Don married Elaine Peterson on May 7, 1960. They made their home in Minnesota, Australia, Colorado, Iowa and Texas. They moved back to Sioux City in 1989. Over the years, Don worked for different gas companies, owned and operated Briggs Lake Hardware and Supperette, drove and operated a sound truck and was a maintenance engineer at a Ramada Inn in Colorado.
Don was an active member of Augustana Lutheran Church. He was a past member of the Rotary, a polio support group and was a Cub Scout leader. Don enjoyed gardening and watching TV, especially westerns.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Kreutzian of Sioux City; two daughters, Karen and Rick LaCroix of Omaha, and Marlene and Jeff Levine of South Sioux City; two sons, Ron Kreutzian of Elkhorn, Neb., and Mark and Pam Kreutzian of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and nine grandchildren, Daniel, Nickol, Christopher, Robyn, Jonathan, Justin, Kathleen, Corey and James.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Stene.
