SIOUX CITY -- Donnie Ray White, 41, of Sheldon, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Aug. 14, 2011.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Sioux City, with the Rev. Wally Greene of the Word of Life Church officiating. Donnie was born June 26, 1970, in Sioux City.
He had strong faith in God, and gave from his heart in everything he did. He loved writing and playing music. He loved fishing and cooking up the perfect recipe with his catch. He had a great sense of humor and had a way of bringing a smile to people's faces. He loved to work, and there was never a project he couldn't complete. His talent and creativity showed in his abilities.
Donnie is survived by his wife, Rachelle White, of Sheldon; his father, Richard A. White Sr. of Sioux City; four brothers, Rick A. White Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Sioux City, Anthony White and his wife, Jamie, of Sheldon, Corey White and his wife, Katy, of Sioux City, and Richard L. White and his wife, Jamie, of Bandon, Ore.; his paternal grandmother; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Lynn White; and his paternal grandfather; and maternal grandparents.
Memorials in his name may be directed to the family to help cover their expenses.
